Pioneer Courthouse Square strikes again. For the second week in a row it accommodates a very large group of people for a major event. This Sunday it was Aids Walk Portland. Thousands of individuals, and teams from hundreds of organizations participated. The goal was to attract 12,000 walkers, [last years event had 11,000 walkers], and raise $400.000 to support Cascade AIDS Project’s mission of preventing new HIV infections, caring for and empowering people living with HIV/AIDS, and eliminating HIV/AIDS-related stigma.
